The leap of faith to uproot from the high desert of Reno and transplant to Central Florida has me successfully soft landed! I arrived on December 23rd, 2023 and have settled into a new home in Colonialtown South. I have been studying up on the local flora for the last few years in anticipation of relocating. I grew up in the Apopka area part time as a kid and graduated from UCF, so this area has lovingly been my second home. I have my office and design studio all set up with new books and manuals on Florida gardening. I am VERY excited to get to work!
I will be posting advertisements on local job boards and neighborhood websites. I typically round out at about 25 to 30 clients on monthly rotations, some with seasonal projects and some with ongoing maintenance and check ups. As I wade in to a work routine, I will be taking on pottery, patio and perennial bed cleanups, as well as pruning, shearing, and organizing your garden to look sharp and beautifully tended. In time I will begin to add in consultations and design-work, but for now I am focused on gathering up new clients who have established gardens that need some love and attention. Most people end up becoming regular, ongoing clients as we make seasonal improvements and upgrades, but from time to time I will take on a one time project. Feel free to reach out if you are not certain.
Please note I do not do mow, blow, or heavy machinery work, nor tree work best relegated to certified arborists. I will always be upfront about which jobs are more suited for contractors (mostly as a cost saving measure for you). I am very communicative about staging in new ideas as well as deconstruction projects that will take time to administer. I am very eager to get to work on your garden! As the Orlando metro area is quite expansive, I will be prioritizing clients closer into the downtown area, Winter Park, and College Park and other neighborhoods within reasonable reach.
